Parents’ Celebration Event

Rational and Brief Description

As Parental Involvement Worker at St Edmund’s I felt the need to celebrate all our parents achievements this year as we had an amazing group that were so proud of their own personal achievements.

This resulted in a Parents’ Celebration Event held at the end of the summer term.

Impact and Outcomes

All parents that attended parent courses with 90% attendance or over were invited to attend the event.

A high percentage of the invited parents attended the event as we were able to offer crèche places.

Ann-Marie and I presented the certificates and talked about our parents’ achievements, and how their journey can develop.

The group was in high spirits as we watched a slide show of them and their children growing together through the year.

Reflection

As this event was such a success we have decided to make this a termly event.
