I feel that the staff members make every effort to help answer any queries or concerns, and direct you to the appropriate person who can help. I feel the staff members are doing well, just continue to listen and help parents in a kind, understanding manner and quickly. I feel that all members are doing an excellent job, but I especially remember when I newly moved to this area, I felt lost and confused in finding my way around Iram made every effort to help me, her kindness was appreciated.”

Family Learning provides a range of activities and programmes where adults and children are involved in learning. All courses are designed to raise the skills of adults and increase their confidence. Many adults work towards “Skills for life” qualifications which support their progression into further learning and employment.
The 12 hour courses of literacy and numeracy that we have held as St Edmund’s are designed to develop basic literacy and numeracy as well as support their children’s learning at school.
The Family Learning courses that have run at St Edmund’s have been an enormous success for families – parents have gained confidence, and self esteem has risen for parents and children that have completed the joint courses which have run for literacy and numeracy.
These courses run for 15 weeks where parents have gained level 1 or level 2 in English and Numeracy!
Here is some feedback from parents who have attended the courses:-
