3 to 4 Red Class
Happy New Year to you all from the Yellow Class and Red Class teams!
We have another very busy half term welcoming new children and parents into our classes. We are all looking forward to meeting them and becoming friends. All the children who started with us in September have now settled into the routines of nursery.
This half term in Red and Yellow Class we will be learning about animals and people who live in cold places. During our play we will be exploring ice and hopefully snow! Finding out what happens to it when it gets warm and creating our own “Cold Place” to play in.
Our core story is “One Snowy Night”. In the story, ?Percy the Park-keeper‘ helps his friends by giving them a warm, safe place to sleep on a very cold and snowy night.
This will help us to think about helping and caring for our friends and how to keep warm when it is cold.
On Monday 23rd January we will be celebrating the Chinese New Year, the Year of the Dragon. We would like to invite parents and carers to join their children at play for our second Open Day of the school year. We would like to invite you all to come and help us to build a Chinese Dragon and to taste some chinese food using chop sticks.
Please could I take this opportunity to remind you to look in your child‘s going home folder to see if they have any paintings to take home. These can be found in Yellow class by the door and Red class near the computers. The colour of the folder is the same colour as your child‘s file and has their picture on it.
