3 – 4s red class

Hope you all had a good break over the Christmas Holidays and are ready for the new half term. We would like to welcome children who are moving into Red and Yellow class from the 2-3’s room and also children who will be joining us from home.

This half term we will be exploring Cold Places and thinking about people and animals that live there such as Inuits, polar bears, penguins etc… We will link this to our winter and what we, or animals that live in Britain, do to keep warm in cold weather. Many exciting activities will be happening throughout the half term both indoors and outdoors. Our core story this half term is ‘One Snowy Night’, by Nick Butterworth which will be available on loan from our Library.

This half term we will also be celebrating Chinese New Year (10th of February) and Shrove Tuesday (12th of February).

Just to remind parents that as the weather is getting colder and our children have free access to outdoor play, please make sure that they are suitably dressed. Also to reassure our parents that in very cold or wet weather children never stay out for too long and we always make sure that they are wrapped up well.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our parents/families for their fantastic involvement in Red and Yellow Class activities last term. Open Day and Better Together meetings were very well attended while food contributions for our Eid and Christmas parties were fantastic. THANK YOU
